In February of each calendar year, 10% of active PT/PTA licensees are chosen in a random continuing education audit.

Licensees chosen for the audit will receive a certified letter from the board.

Chosen licensees must submit documentation for the total of 24 WV Board approved CE units for the previous 2 year licensing period as proof of compliance with the board’s requirements. If any of your CE courses are not WV Board approved, or you do not have enough CE hours, you will be in violation of §16-1-10 in legislative rule and fail the CE audit. Those who fail the audit must complete a continuing education audit agreement, which requires remedial actions to remain an active licensee in good standing.
