In February of each calendar year, 10% of active PT/PTA licensees are chosen in a random continuing education audit.

Licensees chosen for the audit will receive a certified letter from the board.

Chosen licensees must submit documentation for the total of 24 WV Board approved CE units for the previous 2 year licensing period as proof of compliance with the board’s requirements. If any courses are not WV Board approved, or not enough hours were taken, the licensee will be in violation of §16-1-10, and there will be a board initiated compliant filed against his/her license. This process is discussed in the rules and regulations of the Board of Physical Therapy.
